Tell us a bit about yourself so that we can get to know you better?

I am 30 years old and I live in Quebec City, I am pro team rider for Airush Kiteboarding and my Skypilot’s nickname is radicallus. Why radicallus? Simple, I am a Radical guy in all that I do and I don't know if radicallus is a Latin word for radical but …it is cool.

You live in Quebec so do you manage more time on the snow or the water? Tell us about a typical summer and winter session in Quebec?

In Quebec City, we have the possibility to ride 6 months (April to October) on water and 5 months (December to April) on the snow. November is a transition time between the water season and the snow season. November is the time to work on our calendar of events for the next competitive season.

You seem to have a hardcore group of riders, photographers and videographers that you ride with - How did you get involved with your crew?

You are right about that! It is very important to me to work with many people who love this sport. We do not calculate our time… we work to obtain the best results that we can. I have photographers, videographers and friends who are passionate about their work.

As a team rider for Airush what are your responsibilities? Expectations?

I am responsible for promoting Airush products to the Canadian Market. I mainly focus on finding kiters that potentailly could become Airush riders. Also, I work with the team to develop test kites for snowkiting.

What is your kite of choice and why?

My favourite kite is the Airush Reactor 15m. I love this kite because it gives great power and has solid turning speed. Stable and fast which makes it a great kite for unhooked and power loop moves.

Give us the details on the Airush Bow kite, what type of rider is going to benefit from this style of kite? Is it really as safe as they say?

I have a full Halo kite quiver and these kites are excellent. Yes, it is designed to be a 100% safety oriented and the Halo can give you all the power and depower that you could ever ask for want. The Halo re-launch is easy and fast (http://www.steevesfons.com/fons/halo) without a 5th line system. Big, awesome wind range, which I have never seen before. I think the Halo can be used by 90% of all riders on the planet. For me, I use the Halo to practice new moves on kickers and sliders where I can focus on the move and not be concerned about the kite.

Competing in any events this season?

At this time, I am working to go to Europe for winter comps. For the Quebec area, we have a lot of little Freestyle attractions where it is possible to compete with friends and have great parties.

Where do you go for your epic snowkiting sessions? - Sure makes us jealous on the west coast!

I am fortunate in that I have the chance to go snowkiting in the backyard of my house. We have several fields where it is possible to snowkite under many good conditions. Quebec’s kiting rocks and when I can I love to travel for snowkiting. Every weekend I search new spots where I can take some immortal pictures of my epic session.

What is personal, lifestyle, career background?

In addition to kiteboarding, I am a developer/programmer in an IT company. I build website applications for banks and finacial institutions. When I am not kiting I work to promote kiteboarding and produce new products. I run everywhere, I have tons of projects to work on, I snowboard, rip around on a Ski-Doo, I am into photography and film making, and finally I spend time with my girlfriend whom I love.

So when are you going to come out to the west coast and hang with the Skypilot crew at Squamish?

I hope to be able to go at Squamish in early summer 06 to see the new kites shop “Banks”, which will be launched by my friend Rob.

Any projects in the works?

Hmmm hmmm, Yes, I am working on a great project but I cannot officially speak about it at this time.

Kiteloop on the snow? What is that all about? Crazy......

Kiteloop on the snow or on the water is not a big deal. When you launch this move you don’t have many options! It is a mental unhooked move. You launch out, you land or you fall! If you love this move you will try again.

Props to anyone?

Promote unhooked moves and the wakestyle movement. Please inform all of the new followers to be safe and avoid accidents. Let us preserve our spots.
