PKRA Round 7 SARDINIA, ITALY

A new spot on the world tour for this year!

It was a well laid out event with some great beaches and spots to ride. For the competition the conditions were onshore and light with a hefty shore break and swell rolling in. It made the heats tough and the girls were pushing every limit to pull off their best moves.

There was some great tactical riding from many of the girls, but only one could take the top spot. Out in force for Airush were Dutch rider Katja Roose and myself. Unfortunately Katja and I were drawn up against each other in the second round and it was Katja who advanced to meet Suzi Mai.

Katja had a few hard knocks and drags up the beach, but sailed well with some nice kiteloops and raileys and went on to the next round to meet Angela Peral from Tarifa. But it was Angela who advanced pulling a huge kiteloop just before the final horn.

As always Kristin Boese was on fire, and sailed her way to another PKRA victory with her trade mark downloops and bar passes. Due to the lack of wind that week, the double elimination was not completed, so the results were 9th Emma York-Airush 6th Katja Roose-Airush 3rd Bruna Kajiya-Naish
